Terms of Service

The service

ExamReady Phlebotomy is a subscription exam-preparation product for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and ASCP Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification exams. It includes practice questions, venipuncture and capillary-puncture walkthroughs, state-specific study guides, progress tracking, a coin-based practice ledger, and an AI-powered tutor. Every new account starts with a 7-day trial with everything unlocked, after which a Premium subscription is required to continue.

Trial, subscription billing & auto-renewal

• Premium is $9.99 USD per month. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial; you are charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. When the trial ends without a subscription, content is locked and only the paywall, your account page, restore purchases, sign out and delete account remain available.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
• On the web, payment is processed by Stripe. On iOS, payment is processed by Apple through In-App Purchase, and Apple’s own terms apply to those transactions.
• We may change the subscription price with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

Cancellation & refunds

• Cancel anytime. Your subscription renews at $9.99 per month after the 7-day free trial unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you subscribed on iOS, cancel in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions). If you subscribed on the web, cancel from the billing portal (Manage subscription on your account page). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or billing period — you keep Premium access until then.
• Refunds. Refunds follow the policy of the platform you purchased on. Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases under Apple’s refund policy; refunds for web purchases are handled through the billing portal (Stripe) under its policy. Contact [email protected] for help with a web purchase.
• We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.

Account sharing policy

Each account is for one individual user only. You may not share your login credentials, sell or transfer your account, or allow others to access Premium content through your subscription. We may suspend or terminate accounts that show evidence of sharing (for example, simultaneous use from many devices or locations) without a refund.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, copy, or redistribute our question bank or content;
• reverse-engineer or probe the service or its APIs;
• use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass others;
• attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or the coin ledger; or
• submit other people’s personal information to the AI tutor.

Exam prep — not medical advice

ExamReady Phlebotomy is a test-preparation tool. Its content helps you study for a certification exam; it is not engineering, safety, or professional advice, and it does not replace your phlebotomy training program, your employer’s policies, or applicable standards. Always follow your training, workplace protocols, and CLSI and OSHA requirements when collecting specimens or working with patients.

AI tutor disclaimer

The AI Tutor generates answers using a large language model (processed via OpenRouter). AI responses can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Treat them as a study aid, not an authoritative source; verify procedures against your official training materials and the CLSI collection standards and the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. Do not enter other people’s personal or health information into the tutor.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no promise that you will pass any exam.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExamReady Phlebotomy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in that case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
